Default Truck starts but immediately quits running..HELP!

I plugged in my Hyper tech tuner to view my DTC's and to change back to factory settings since I was going to be orderring efi live very soon. After it changed back to the factory settings the truck will now start but immediately shuts back off. It won't stay running. I then tried changing but to the level 3 just to see if it would change anything and it didn't. Still does not remain running. The codes I got before clearing are, P0101, P0299, C0035, B0229, U1000. I checked the codes lookup on here and the only one I could find was P0101 referring the the MAF. I suspect it may be a problem as I recently installed the Banks cold air intake to the LBZ mp. Right after I had taken if for a test drive and the check engine light came on as well as there was a noticeable drop in power that I suspect was because the engine was now getting a lot more air and not enough fuel to compensate, etc. Kind of need assistance so I can get this thing going as it is my daily driver. Is it something I can maybe fix or do I need to have it towed to a dealer? Would the EFI live fix the problem once I receive my tunes, because if so, I could hold off on taking it in and just install my efi live tunes within a week or so and rent a vehicle or borrow a friends.

Well I still haven't found anything on the other four codes yet. The problem seems to have changed a bit though when I went outside to try it again and check some fuses, etc. The motor turns over but does not fire at all now. Also, I do remember when I was changing back to the factory setting that for some reason while it was installing the service 4wd was popping up on the dash. The mods for my truck are in my sig. The only recent change was adding the Banks LBZ intake on Saturday. I drove the truck home today so started then but just wouldn't after I checked the codes and tried changing the tune.

have you checked fuel filter prime? is the security light flashing in the dash?

I checked the fuel filter late last night and primed it until I could no longer easily push it it, just took a couple times. That did not fix it. As far as the security light flashing I have not noticed it. I called Hypertech today and they said they had no heard of something like this. The only similar situation occurs when you turn the truck off or unplug the tuner during the programming, which I had not done. They suggested I reprogram the truck back to the factory settings, and unplug both batteries for atleast 30 minutes to "clear" or "reset" the system. I just got home from work and have reprogrammed back to stock and am now waiting atleast 30 mintutes before I hook the batteries back up. I will post what it does after that soon. I did notice while I was reprogramming that "service 4wd" was popping up. Hypertech told me the codes meant the following:
P0101-MAF
P0299-turbocharger under boost condition
C0035-ABS
B0229-he didn't know
U1000-communication code referring to the BUS diagnostic port?

Sounds communication related. I would look to security . Not sure on gm but dodge will run for 3 seconds before a invalid skim key will kill it.

I'm starting to think security related now as well. The truck has an aftermarket alarm but I'm thinking this is something GM. I just plugged the batteries back up and I tried to start it. I payed attention to the dash lights etc. As the key went to the run position, the glow plugs lit up, as well as the security (picture of the front of the truck with a lock thru it), and the check engine light. Then all went off so I turned the key to start. The truck fired and immediately died. Right after it died, the security light pops back up but stays on until I turn the key from the run position back to off. I guess I will read thru my manual about that and do some research there. If anyone knows anything about the little security light please give me some insight.

I read online some about the theft deterrent system. Seems there are gremlins in the TDS in a lot of GM's. My TDS light has been on for about a week or so while the truck is running. Evidently this means there is a problem with it and it will sneak up on you. As far as fixing it, most of the info I have read talks about the light blinking, and to turn the key to run and leave it for ten minutes. Then turn it off and immediately restart. I tried this and it did not work. My light comes on once I turn the key to start for approximately 5 seconds then goes off. I'm pretty sure that my problem lay somewhere with the theft deterrent system at this point.

Well glad to say its fixed. Had my brother came over and we just started guessing and trying stuff regarding the aftermarket alarm and the remote start. We unplugged the alarm and the remote start and the truck fired right up. We then plugged in just the remote start and the truck would not start again. We then reversed and tried with the alarm and not the remote start, same outcome the truck didn't start. The alarm was somehow triggering something with the remote start and preventing the truck from starting. We then disconnected the batteries, plugged in the remote start, reconnected the batteries, then tried starting and it didn't work. Then we got extremely lucky, for some reason we unplugged the remote start again and plugged it back in right when the truck was starting and the thing fired right up. My guess is that there is a wire crossing over somewhere from the aftermarket alarm to the remote start, possibly something getting grounded out or its activating the aftermarket alarm and preventing the truck from starting. SO....I just completely disconnected the aftermarket alarm. I don't really care for it since the only added bonus of having it is that the I could change the sensitivity of the alarm and loud noises, or someone bumping the truck would activate it, whereas the factory alarm goes off when someone gets the door open, etc. Also, the aftermarket alarm was a pain because I would half to unlock the doors with the remote unlock before I hit the remote start button, otherwise it would set off the alarm. Anyways, for now its fixed. Still have the check engine light which I'm guessing is still coming from the MAF. I may get around to rerunning the codes tomorrow or just wait until monday when EFI live gets here.

To those guys that responded I appreciate the help. To anyone that looks this thread up later, it prolly won't be of much help just because of what it turned out to be. Damn gremlins!! I will continue to post on the MAF issue on another thread of mine.
