My 5 speed transmission in my 98 dodge wont go into gear I can force into 5th but it wont go into any other gear including reverse I thought it was a bent shift fork but after replacing that it still does the same thing

check clutch hydraulics ..If truck tries to move while trying to select a gear its poss. your clutch is dragging may also try to select a gear without engine running to verify just my thoughts.

Well I was thinking it may be something with the clutch also but when I force it into fifth with the clutch applied it will sit there like its supposed to and when I let the clutch out it will take off well try to anyway since fifth is a bit high Haha so I don't believe it's the clutch system

Does the Dodges have a removable floor board in them? If so could the top plat be take off the trans? It sound like you have a snifter rod not returning back to its correct position to me.
