Having transmission problems , can drive truck one day shifts fine everything seems normal then the next day drive truck and not have O.D. and sometimes not have 3rd gear , took it to transmission shop they test drove it and they didnt have O.D tried to pull codes and of course no codes ,they unplugged transmission harness and inspected it said it looked fine then plugged it back in then test drove it again and transmission shifted great and had O.D , drove it home from transmission shop approx. 20 miles and shifted and acted normal stumped ....

Drove the truck about 15 miles shifted normal ,turned it off for about 30 mins then on the way home my O.D. light on the gear shifter started flashing , then i seemed to of lost O.D. here is the weird part pulled in the driveway and i had to put it in reverse but no reverse all of a sudden , felt almost like the emergency brake was on give it some throttle and it barely moved .. I did get a code finally (P0783 3-4 shift)

 

update : got in the truck this morning after letting it sit all night just to see if i have reverse , well reverse worked like a charm so i drove it a couple of miles down the road but didnt have O.D , turned around and drove the couples miles back and then i had O.D. pulled in the driveway put it in reverse and guess what no reverse again, so i turned truck off restarted it and had reverse ...
