Guys, My old man just called me, truck seized in Florida, with a 30ft gooseneck and 3 horses in the trailer. We're working on finding someone to finish the run, but I need a good diesel shop around Jacksonville that ain't gonna screw us. Apparently the thing ran out of oil... mus have happened in a hurry, because it hasn't been leaking, at least it wasn't before the trip. He can't turn the engine over with the starter or by hand, and the trouble codes read a #6 cylinder misfire, and low oil pressure.

I'm betting he burned up the #6 cylinder due to a crappy injector, but IDK yet.

So does anyone know a good shop around there? We're gonna have to tow this thing out of a weigh station to a shop. I'm at college in class, so it might be a while before I can talk to him again. If anybody can help, please, give my old man a call, I'd really appreciate it. His name is Doug McCall, and his phone number is 716-983-2687. Scored piston would cause severe blowby, but you would notice it.

#6 Injector failed, wrecked the piston and blew all the oil out. Engine seized and its toast. Have an engine lined up, just gotta get it there. Of course, I had to drive my truck down there to pick up the trailer and horses and take them to their new homes, sure enough, we were just about to get to SC when I got a phone call from my uncle telling me my grandfather just past. I had my old man pull over at the next rest stop to let him know. Its been the worst week I can remember, for just about the whole family...

Sounds like it's under warranty, so that's a big plus.
