I am looking for the a/c wiring schematic that would show everything from dash a/c light, to TIPM, to a/c compressor, etc.
I checked resistance on the a/c clutch two wire and show ZERO. I checked a buddy's truck and he had 4ohms which 2 - 4ohms is normal. Also on the two wires that plug into a/c clutch from wherever they come from ( need schematic) they read 11.45 volts. That is with key on and a/c light on or off. I checked a buddys truck and same thing. 11.50 volts wether the key is on or a/c light is on. On both trucks after turning off key and waiting a couple of minutes the voltage on the two wires going to clutch would start to drop off slowly to zero. My main reason for troubleshooting is to know what I have going on before going to dealer and get shafted because money is tight now... I do know the a/c clutch is bad but trying to figure out about the TPIM. Not throwing any codes relating too that. On a side note and maybe coincedence. We left the a/c clutch two wire unplugged and on the way home the P0489 code egr circuit low come up???? Any ideas.... Thanks for anything... John |

74000 miles.
Mostly highway pulling camper and boat sometimes. I guess having issues with a $40,000 truck has ruint me on buying a new vehicle. One issue that eats me up is everytime I need it worked on it is on dealers schedule and not mine. I have to take off work to get truck worked on.... ![]() Sorry for the rant... Anybody with experience on TIPM troubleshooting. Is the dealer the only one with access to STARSCAN or STAR something that can look at TIPM.... Thanks again.... |
