Yeah give us the year and we'll give you some ideas. Some years had problems with injectors, others had a few head gaskets, and sometimes it was the wiring harness into the injectors that would cause it to stall and act like you stated.

make sure you bleed the air out using the black bleed screw on the filter housing and pumping the pump on the top.
does it turn over at all? |

it is an 05 with 159000, map sensor input signal low code, i did bleed all the air out of the filter with the bleed screw, the truck cranks but will not start

Sounds like water in the fuel since he just filled up.
Either that or it is an injector problem. Have they ever been replaced? |

And no codes? Check the black box (Injector Control Module) right next to the turbo I believe.. it should have 2 plugs going to it.. make sure that they are connected good..
I cant understand why this would start after fueling up though, and not throw some kinda codes.. When you are craking it, is it blowing any color smoke? |

is there any way to bleed the entire system out of air except just cranking on it? and could the map sensor cause it to not crank? could the fresh fuel been enough to cause the filter to stop up, and we just havent gotten all the air bled out of it. we replaced the map sensor and got rid of the code, and now it seems to be wanting to start, and will stay running as long as the starter is engaged, but it will not idle on its on. and the injectors have never been replaced since he bought the truck new. we had a similar problem before when changing the filter, but it was only air in the filter, priming it with the pump fixed that.

if you can get it to run, check and see if one side seems to be shut off.
nope you would need a lift pump for that the cp3 draws thier own fuel on a dmax. and don't try to crack open the injectors its hpcr that's at 6kpsi at idle and can go up to 26kpsi. im guessing it would run if you keep you foot on it too if you get it turned over? |
