Default 2008 F250 Programmer Issues

I have just recently purchased a 2008 F250 with 6.4L Powerstroke. When I purchased the truck it already had the DPF delete on it and an SCT programer tuned for the DPF delete. After having the truck for approximately one week I felt as if it was blowing alot of excess black smoke and possibly not getting the best potential fuel economy. I plugged the SCT programer into the OBD port and ended up changing the tune to the Performance tune to see if it made a difference. After doing so and driving the truck I noticed that now when running 60mph I was turning 2000 rpms which obviously isn't good for fuel economy. I plugged the programer back in with intentions of changing the settings back to what it was when I originally bought the truck but my programer suddenly came up with a message saying that it didn't have proper firmware to tune the truck. After doing some research I decided to buy a new programmer and bought the SCT X4 flash programmer. I received this today and after doing all the required updates I connected it to my truck and decided to program it to the 3rd tuning option which was labeled Street mode. The tune installed with no issues but after driving I was disappointed to find that I was still turning 2000 rpms at 60mph. My question is that if anyone knows which is the best setting on this tuner to prevent this or if I need to modify the shift point settings while programming the truck? If this is the case does anyone know what the best shift point settings are? Thanks in advance for any help!!
