Default 1996 F250 7.3

Hi guys, new hear but will be around. Love my ole Powerstroke and need a place to check in with from time to time. have owned these model trucks since they came out so maybe I can help others out as well.
Yesterday my ole stroke started missing BAD when I tried to crank it. Got it home and started to fool with it this morning. I unplug the glow plug/injector harness on the front of the valve cover and no change in the missing so I unplug the other one on that side, still no change. Go around and unplug the front one and it dies. Plug it back up and crank the truck back up, unplug the back one and it dies again. So I figure the valve cover gasket so I change it, no change in it. Seems to be missing on the whole drivers side.
Any suggestions?????

Did you just change valve cover gaskets or the harnesses inside too?

Replaced the gasket but no help. Checked the injector harnesses under the cover and they were good. Also checked the outside harness back to the IDM, my thinking is the IDM is shot.

Got a IDM and she fired up. Has always run rough when first cranking and it is still doing the same. Is there a way to check to be sure each injector is working. Thanks

You can do a buzz and contribution test if you have a scanner

don't have a scanner so without taking it somewhere that wont work. Still have the valve cover off on drivers side as that is where the problem was. Cranked the front 3 all are squirting oil as they should but the back one is not.

Can try to unplug each injector individually and listen for a change in idle
