hey guys this is my first diesel vehicle i have a 96 dodge ram 2500 with a 5 speed cummins (12 valve) i had a new engine put in it (almost complete motor) the motor i got was missing the injection pump and a turbo so the shop swapped those parts from the original engine onto the one i bought then installed it.. the engine starts one turn of the key and idles great take it up to 1600 rpm and it starts popping shuttering sounds like its missing BAD and blows black smoke this was all happening they told me it was done while all of this was happening i refused to take the truck because it wasnt running right (there was no check engine like no brake light warning light on theres no abs or any other lights on all seems normal) now after a month of fighting with them they called me again to tell me it was done again the mechanic told me the misfire was gone they drove it and there were no issues i told them i would be by in the morning to get it. i went down after they closed fired my truck up let it come up to temperature gave it some gas brought it up to 2100 rpm and it started popping and misfiring again... except this time its white smoke... i have no idea where to start looking and im at a complete loss any advice would be great the link is what it is doing now i have already paid these ******** over $1300 just in labor for this and i still dont have a running truck
