day 2 update
on my 1994 7.3 powerstroke.i found that the air intake tube between the turbo and air intake is messed up at the turbo end.the tube in the fuel filter housing is broke off at the bottom of the housing.finally the truck is a obd 1 system and i am having a hard time trying to find a code reader.number 1 would it be easier to just bite the bullet and upgrade to a cold air intake system.number 2 where can i find a replacement tube for the fuel filter housing and number three any ideas on where to find a obd 1 code reader.

1) A cold air intake system would help your motor breath better, so I would recommend the upgrade.
2) as for the tube for the fuel filter housing, I don't understand what your talking about?
3) for the code reader, You can try looking at parts stores to see what they have. OR maybe a tool store.

This is the Fuel Filter Check Valve Assembly : The check valve is made up of 5 parts, the valve body, plunger, rod, valve seat and spring. It is there to prevent starting the engine, if there is no filter in place. The fuel bowl check valve stand pipe itself, which comes up through the fuel filter element and holds the heater element in place, is only about 16 bucks. One of the supporters of this site should have one in stock.
