I am the sad owner of 3 x ford f350 super duty,s 2004,2005,2006
They have cost me thousands of dollars in brake down and recovery cost, my original problem was lack of knolage on my part and the complete lack of information available in the Uk and Europe. Over the last few year information re the ford 6.0 diesel problem on the internet has been a fantastic help, I must admit that nearly every problem I have read about with these engine seems to have hit me on most of my trucks,
I have to say that when these trucks are on song they are a great truck with loads of pulling power and great to drive.
My current problem is the truck is slow off the starting block but once its up at mid power the turbo spools up and runs really good. But there is simply no low down power.
This is a 2005 6.0 ford diesel, it's had a lot work done over the year, it's got all the bulletproof mods since, we recently fitted new turbo since the original turbo vains seized and did not work.
These trucks are used 4 or 5 time a year to do support race jobs, so often they sit about for weeks or months and then tow cars and spare parts across Europe or South America
We do not use them every day.

Can anyone tell me what I should be looking for to sort this slow off the start problem, and if anyone can give me ideas on how to make them more reliable, or is that never going happen unless they are driven more often,
Fuel in the uk cost around 10$ per gallon so the f350 is not practical car for everyday use
