Houston, we have a problem...
Hello! Happy thanksgiving to all! Here goes my first post, ever.. Yesterday I bought a 1993 international 4700 4x2 grapple truck. During the test drive is drove mostly ok but on the way home it started loosing power, eventually to the point of crawling along. I hobbled it to my local Yancy dealer and today found the motor was gone due to a leaky intake gasket which had caused over time dirt and dust to enter the motor. I don't believe they've done an internal inspection yet. Any suggestions? I'm not sure what motor is in it. It's either a DT466, DT360 or DT408. If I have to replace the motor will any of these motors interchange and hook up to my tranny? Any help would be much appreciated. Also, truck has been sitting for a couple of years. Cranks up and idles like a sewing machine.

do a rebuild on your engine ,if its a 466 they are easy to do and cheap ,do a inframe kit ,pistons, liners, main and rod bearings, and all gaskets ,buy a navistar kit they even come with filters
