2005 Duramax LLY just died??
OK here we go! 2005 Duramax, stock except for tires, only work/ problem replaced the computer year ago, because it would not turn over, and regular maintenance. 168??? on original breaks, now at 178??? miles. I put a lot of hwy miles for work, don't mud sling. I pull or tug, NOT ****** what ever need on farm or for pleasure, and on occasion non drivers out of ditch.
"PROBLEM" Pulled some willows, not snatched. Drove a couple hundred yards to burn pile went to in hook chain truck just died. Tried to start nothing, tried to prime got good flow from primer, spun her over, nothing! Well I was a little low on fuel headed a little down hill, so added 5 gal of fuel, primed again, got good stream still spin over no start. Changed filter, primed, checked fuel really by switching out with one I know was working. No sluggishness or loss of power, Mister died and she won't start. NOTHING!
Help please!
Thanks

Gets stiff when priming! I think you are talking about after priming try to push the primer. If so I have not tried that and will right after church. Thanks! Just one more thing to rule out

Primer stays hard. Still not starting. Guys and gals I could use some help. Looking for some thing to try other than a fuel pump R/R. Is there to check fuel pump pressure by a non tech, if so what pressures should I see??

the only other way to check pump press. that i know of is w/ efi live. could be a blockage in the line. take outlet line lose at outlet of fuel filter head put it in a clean bottle of diesel and try it again. could be a collapsed line. if it still doesn't start keep working your way forward until you get to the pump. i've heard you could unplug the fpr valve in the back of the pump and this would cause max rail pressure. never tried it though.
