New turbo, high egt!!
Hi everyone, mew to the forum. I'm wondering why my EGTs seem so high while cruising down the interstate. Running 70mph with the edge on 0 stock I read 950-1000* and on stage 5 I show 1000-1100. Seems like she's running hot eve since this new cp3 and turbo was put on. Is it just because cruising at that speed I'm not building enough boost, or what could it be??

1000-1100 is about normal cruising temps with a bigger turbo. with a stock turbo, at 70 your constantly building boost. with a bigger turbo, it isn't building the boost the stock turbo built at the same speed. but when spooled the temps should be less than before.

Theory and prior application says yes. The improved exhaust manifold change is supposed to help the charger spool sooner. and larger exhaust pipe will get the exhaust gases out of the tail sooner. but I read wear the temps you're seeing are not dangerous.
