Default 97 f250 losing power

First what my truck is. I have a 97 f250 7.3 l. It has about 288,000 miles. I also have a ts performane 6 bank chip and a k and n air filter. Now about the problem, when I stop the truck and try and go again my check engine light will come on and i can push the pedal clear down to the floor and it just idles. I let off the pedal and push it again and i can go. I dont drive the truck but only a couple times a month because of diesel prices. All this happened on saturday and friday night it drove just fine. I was horsing around a little bit doing burnouts leaving parking lots and i also went over a curb inbetween parking lots. I checked all my fluids and all are good except im a little over on my oil fill line. I changed the oil about 4 months back. My air filter looks a little dirty im going to try and clean that up. But also when my truck does go again sometimes its jerky like the gears are sticking and my overdrive light flashes. My truck is a automatic by the way and it is also straightpiped. Any help would be great. Thanks.

you need to get the truck scanned with a scanner that works with the OBS powerstroke.... There is a code stored since the CEL came on... That will lead you to the problem most likely...

There is also a code stored with the flashing of the OD light...

get it scanned before anything else...
