Most times it starts fine but slower then my older mechanical injected trucks do with lots of unburnt fuel cloud until it warms up. Then at times when is too warm to have it happen seems like the fuel filter is doing the gelling trick.

I have put in new glow plug first off, that made it start better with less preheats to get it fired up. It still does the unburnt fuel cloud though. I bought the fuel filter insert but have to get the torx bit yet to get the top off. I did discover the yellow tab and when push it to the side it dumps fuel out.

I have no idea the brand chip that was put into it but the guy said was a 6 position with top HP of 80 over stock. Could this be the fuel cloud problem and return to stock to fix? This truck shows about 225,000 miles o figure is almost broke in.

Please help educate this old older then dirt river rat on the finer points of this new electronic injection they put on the 7.3 turbo beasty I have now.
