7.3 crank no start
My dads 2000 7.3 with 195k with a ts chip. The ways light will flick on and off then it won't start. There is a buzz coming from the dash. I've checked fuses and changed the gpr. I'm at a loss

Really the only things these trucks need to start is sufficient battery voltage, Injection control pressure above 500psi and fuel...
Obviously if it's cold, then you need your glow plug system but that could easily be bypassed by plugging it in...

still have an issue, the truck will start when its on the bat charger on 100amp start and only then will it start every time. i was thinking battery cables then, took jumper cables one at a time went from the left side - to the frame wouldnt start, went + to + didnt start, right side - to engine wouldnt start and then right side + to starter wouldnt start. the truck cranks over like a dream but dosent even act like it wants to start. no codes other than a EBS code and another saying batteries were disconnected. i dont own a scanner. oil is full, new starter, new solenoid on fender. another thing i know is he tried replacing the glow plugs and number 1 snapped off in the head. i dont think you need glow plugs for it to actually start. but im not a ford guy, so it only has 7 gp's... when cranking the tach jumps around, no smoke at all while cranking. but when it does run it runs perfect...he also said he's experienced a dead peddle before. please help been on this for about a week now. dont know where to go next.
