I got a set of rims I want to put up for sale but the clear coat on one of them has gotten some brake cleaner spilled on it and it lifted it. So what kind of clear coat can be used to fix this ... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

I would think the only way to do it now would be to strip the whole thing. As far as a finish
You could use some of your clear finger nail polish![]()

are they solid aluminum? if so I have always polished and sprayed rattle can clear coat on my aluminum rims to keep themn from pitting.

The brake cleaner did a pretty good job of lifting the clearcoat already so no problem there. If any of it gives me any problems I'll just spray a little more on but I'm always open to new suggestions so tell us about em Doc.
The rims are solid aluminum so i know I want somethin over them just didn't know if there was a special formula to use. |
