Sounds like a plan to me. I'm only about 2.5 hours or so from there. There's a good place to go wheeling about 25 minutes from my house as well. I also saw that you made it over to Jeepin.com asking about hard tops. That's a good bunch over there too. The guy who owns the site is a friend of mine.
Let me know next time you're going to be down this way, and I'll give you a way to get in touch with me.

I'll have to go check it out. My only fear is it will get the wheels turning in my head, and get me to thinking I won't be able to live without swapping the 304 out of my CJ5 and putting a 4bt in its place.

are you running a carb still or have upgade to tbi or efi? you can always sell the parts off your cj to counter the parts for the 4bt swap your looking at around $1500 for a complete engine in yours compared to $5000 for the one i will be installing in mine since i need an 05 recon 4bt. and a transmission with transfer case will run you anywhere from $300 to $4000 then axle swap would be recomended atleast in the rear.

I'm still running the original 304 with a two barrel. It would be a fun swap to do, but it will be a while before I even consider it. Time is something I don't have a whole lot of these days. Our customers from the oilfield are keeping me working upwards of 70 hours a week. Maybe one of these days...

Union shops are few and far between around here. If you're serious about moving down this way, I'll see what I can find out for you work-wise. Just let me know.
