hey guys new to the site, just want to say hello. I curently do not have a diesel motor but hopefully with some of your help that will change. I have a 1951 GMC cab over and want to convert it over to a Diesel ... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

I have a 1951 GMC cab over and want to convert it over to a Diesel so that I can use it as a tow rig for my toys. So if you have any ideas please let me know.......ie favorite motor/trans combo thanks guys glad to be on this site hope to learn something from all of ya Aaron [IMG] [/IMG]

welcome to diesel bombers. ![]() reasonable easy swaps? i'd suggest a cummins 4bt or 12V because they have no electronics, are very reliable and get decent fuel economy. i would also suggest the older 6.9L and 7.3L international indirect-injection (IDI) diesel. they're also pretty reliable and and get decent economy. they're pretty cheap too because they're not all that popular. |

Welcome to the site! I would suggest Cummins myself. I wouldnt know which one. The guys on here know their s*** so you will soon get the info you need. Good luck
