Howdy, all. I'm living in Nova Scotia, Canada and I've been driving VW diesels since 1984. I have over 2.5 million Kilometers in em. My present toy is shown below. It's a 1981 VW Caddy with a 1.6 turbodiesel. It'll soon have a 2 liter ... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

It's a 1981 VW Caddy with a 1.6 turbodiesel. It'll soon have a 2 liter superdiesel with all the goods, and a later 5-speed transmission with a nice high cruising gear.

I been waitin for somebody with these little monsters. I've been toyin with the idea of transplantin one of these motors into one of the little Trackers I got. Hope to see ya spendin a good amount of time on here.

That was my plan before I found this truck and started the quest for excellence. I think the diesel swap into a Tracker would be ideal and I may do one for a daily driver myself. The conversion kit and instructions are very complate and it makes a great little truck when completed.

I do tend to hang out more at http://www.vwdiesel.net, bevause they are more VW-specific, but us diesel drivers gotta stick together and what works for one will work for all. |
