I have an 1999 FL70 Freightliner Condo sleeper w/microwave/fridge etc. with a NEW 2005 8.9L ISL diesel I bought surplus from Al's Diesels in Ohio. The vehicle hasnt been run commercially in a while what with diesel fuel at $4.00/gal many places. I bought the New engine with common rail fuel system. I'm hoping for better fuel economy and maybe performance though I doubt it'll ever spin the wheels
. I slid in a new Eaton 8LL O/D tranny underneath and a new Arvin/Meritor rear end under there too. All new and ready to make some money perhaps. I'd like to test run the new diesel prior to installation. How can I do that without hooking it to the big plug/harness that goes through the firewall.
