Default Hello From The Cold "Nova Scotia Canada"

Hey everyone,

I do not even own my first Cummins and I am here. Saturday is the day. I have a 2000 loaded without leather White with blue in and a 2001 "loaded" Black with tan in my sights. Both are Quad cab short boxes. When I get home Saturday the driveway will look different. Any pointers I need to know?

welcome aboard..... on all those VP44 24valve trucks i'd recomend putting in a fuel pressure gauge first. then you can monitor your stock lift pump's life.... it dosen't live long. if it goes bad it'll take out your VP and it ain't cheap..... read on here and there are a ton of useful info. if you don't see anything ask away..... remember that the only dumb questions are the ones not asked..... -

Thanks,

I have been made aware of this and the first thing I do is a fule pressure guage. Do you recomend any special kind? The 2001 just had both pumps replaced. I think I will go down in the correct thread now.

there are plenty of Sponsors on this site that will be more than willing to help you choose a gauge setup. there are so many types i'd hate to tell you one is better than the other. i think it all boils down to personal preference and $$$$ -

Welcome, dont trust freshly replaced pumps, I learned that lesson the hard way, when I bought my 02 they had both been replaced, well after a month of driving it 0psi at the VP, put the fass on but it was too late, VP is on its way out the door. -
