i just need help with the diesel thing

i have a 1998 cummins and i was driving it when the gauges stoped working. all the light still work but the gauges dont. i dont know were to start i have checked out all the fuses and they are good -

is it you gauge lights dont work or they dont work at all
if the lights in the gauges dont work look and see if you have power to the dimmer switch -
