Default New here. Hope to help other w/ 4BTA's

I neglected to check in. Sorry. Been posting for about a week now. I have done my 4BTA conversion into a 1985 dodge Ram W150 Prospector shortbed that I hauled up to Ohio from Abiline Tx. about 4 yers ago. Been running mine for about 3 years now using it for hauling my toys; cab-over camper and 5,000# boat behind. I started learning about 4bta swaps over at TDR site in 2001 and have helped others at the 4BTSWAPS site for several years now. Hopefuly I can help here with new faces trying to make the diesel 1/2 ton truck Detroit should have done years ago had Frigging EPA not prevented it.
My next conversion is a turned up 2001 VW tdi (135 h.p.) into a 1998 Jetta. My son is finishing a 1986 turbo'd and turned up VW diesel into a 1980 toyota pickup. -

Thanks everyone.

Although I am currently an owner of a 4BTA conversion. I do have it up for sale and I know I'm going to regret it when it does sell. $5,500. I am still working on downsizing my pics to get this site to take them.
The next project is the bombed VW Tdi going into a 1998 Jetta. Gotta feeling there are not very many of those happening here. -

Howdy from Mansfield. Welcome aboard! Been working on my full-width, solid axle S-10 project for a while now, and the plan is to power it with a 4BT. Problem is finding one that people don't want a fortune for! -

I hear ya. I wanted to drop mine into a Durango or Dakota at first but they were all too pricey. I drive by Mansfield occasionally on my way to see my daughter in Columbus and sometimes going to Fur Fins and Feathers. -

Fin-Feather-Fur Outfitters is like my second home. Ol' Mike has made a boat-load of money offa me over the last 20 years, but he's a good ol' boy and I'd much rather give it to him than one of the big retailers or something like Cabela's. Maybe I'll see ya down there someday. -
