Welcome to DB. Make yourself at home and ask all the questions that you want. We have some really sharp Duramax owners on here. (I'm not one of them. )

Do you have an '04 with the LB7 or an '04.5 with the LLY? -

Hey there Craig. Welcome to Diesel Bombers. We have alot of folks here that carry incredible knowledge on the Duramax. Your Truck could be either an LB7 Duramax or an LLY Duramax. They Changed the motor 2004.5 Most Likely yours is an LB7.

To Find out for sure, Check your vin number. If the 8th digit of your VIN number is a 1, then it is an LB7 Duramax. If the 8th digit is a 2, then it is an LLY. That is very important information when it comes to upgrading parts.

*edit*

Well, I see you already know which model you have.. Why dont ya fill out your signature with your truck info?

See ya around bud! -
