Default diming of panel lights

I have a 2003 LB7 DMax LT 2500. I am having some issues with the drivers side window rolling up. if the truck is started it will roll up really slow and it seems like it is pulling alot of juice because all of my panel lights and head lights will dim. if the truck is off the window will stop about 3/4 of the way up and I have to let off the switch and try it again and it will make it all the way up. There is another issue with the heated seat on the drivers side. when i turn it on it will stay on about 30 sec and turn back off. Any help would be appreciated.

You probably have a window motor nut'n up on you. When the truck is running, the extra amperage from the alt is giving it enough to work (kind of), but just off battery power, it falls short.

On the seat: probably a heating element going bad in the seat causing the circuit breaker to trip.

Both need to be checked with a volt and amp meter to make sure though.

hey thanks alot thats kinda what i was thinking but its always good to hear it from someone else though. How hard is it to take care of the heat element in the seat if it is bad and how would i go about doing it

I was told that if i took it to a dealer and had them to rest the computer that it would fix the seat. anyone know if that is possible or not

I'm not much of a trim guy, but I think you can remove the heating element from the seat cushion. You would still have to remove the cushions to do the job, which is not too hard, but I would probably take it to an upholstery shop if you are not good at that kind of thing.

Window motor is super easy.

Most of the time when you reflash the seat/body computer, it's for a seat memory problem, not normally a heating problem. Anything is possible though and this is where a Tech2 to scan codes and data come into play. This is also where an amp/volt meter become your friend. Clamp on an amp meter, turn on the seat heater, watch the amperage and go from there.

'03 and up are not as simple as '02 and under.
