Default LLY-LBZ

whats the diff in the 06 LLY and the LBZ?is it just the tune or are the motors differant as well?was looking at a 06 1ton duallyw/6spd man but it was the LLY not LBZ.(i checked the vin).

I believe they redesigned the injectors and and fixed the overheating issue.

ok but whats the differance between the 06 LLY n the 06 LBZ?the truck i'm lookin at is a 06 but a LLY in it.are the motors the same minus the tune or are they totaly differant engines?this LLY has the 6spd manual behund it.

heads, block, crank, pistons, rods, injectors, ecm are all different. the lbz has no FICM on it either.

06 LLY is the same as the LBZ just different tuning from what I understand. All other years have different hard parts like said in the post before me.

FICM=Fuel Injector Control Module

06 LLY/06 LBZ is essentially the same engine, just different tuning. 04.5-05 LLY engines are different from 06LLY/LBZ and 06-07 LBZ. Make sense?

The major difference is the injection system.

the 2006 LLY is a DE-TUNED LBZ, that is the ONLY difference, you can easily remedy that problem

the 2005 LLY is entirely different than the 2006 LLY, the 2006 lly is built exactly the same as the LBZ
