AMSOIL's ATF...dex VI status

I had noticed that AMSOIL had stopped listing their ATF as an acceptable fluid for the Allison 1000 series. They list only equivalent product that the OEM (GM, and not Allison) recommends. This being said, the ATD(torque-drive) is still a good fluid for these trannys, they just don't list it because GM does not list it.
Now back to the ATF. Here's the response I received from AMSOIL:
Recently, a labeling concern was identified on the AMSOIL Universal ATF product in California. The issue was researched and AMSOIL quickly identified the best course of action to rectify the labeling issue taking into account all stakeholders. The resolution included removing Dex VI and Mercon SP from the current ATF label to satisfy specific labeling requirements. The issue was identified as a labeling issue and not a performance issue as AMSOIL ATF worked well in Dex VI and Mercon SP applications. To comply with all requirements identified, AMSOIL INC. will be releasing a fuel efficient viscosity automatic transmission fluid that will carry the Dex VI and Mercon SP specifications, as well as Mercon LV and Toyota WS. This new product will carry the stock code, ATL and will be available June 1st.
The dex 6 may come off the label, but as stated above, it's not a performance issue. The product would still be guaranteed by AMSOIL.
You know, this is one of things where I debated on whether to post or not as it could open a big can of worms, but it was going to happen eventually so better sooner than later.
