you should keep a fire extinguisher handy, in case it does turn into a big fireball

The downpipe is the pipe that comes off the turbo and attaches to the front pipe of the exhaust. The stocker is restrictive, the Diamond Eye is nice free flowing.

No. I'm just on a quest for the lowest towing EGTs on a Dmax while keeping the cab as quiet as possible.

I'm also looking for some info about the diamond eye down pipe. I have a 5" cat back that I'm going to add the cat delete pipe to. I tow a toyhauler and am looking to lower my EGT's also. Would the new down pipe be worth the money?

I got mine because I saw someone elses and saw the flow advantages over the stock downpipe. I like the EGT's I'm at right now but the burning smell worries me. I put my truck in the air yesterday and took a look at everything. No leaks anywhere from the downpipe back, but the downpipe is very very close and almost touching the bulkhead (firewall) insulation. I'm suspecting that's where the burning smell is coming from. Sustaining 1200+* for a long period of time while towing might be a bit too much for that area back there. I'm going to call Diamondeye about it and get their input.
