Chris, I dont think the LMM's are available with the manual trans.. as far as I know they have all the same issues as the LBZ.. which is none.. unless someone has plugged up the DPF a few times.. due to an overfueling programmer..

You can buy a manny tranny in Mexico
I don't know why GM discontinued the manual version, but it's not like they made very many in the first place. Of all the used trucks for sale I've seen, probably about 1 in 300 has the manual. I wish they made more 6 speeds, I really wanted one...but the Allison is a pretty stellar transmission.

I think you'll like the new 6 speeds though. The LMMs are pretty quick and built really well.

All the non DPF guys think they make it a worse truck. I do have a question what is the fuel mileage like with the DPF trucks because once again I dont know to many people with them and everyone is trying to use that to scare me away from them.

I filled up this morning and drove 245 miles on the highway. It was crappy weather but I am averaging 17.6 mpg. Now that is driving between 65-70 and only on the highway. My mileage is not a good gauge but be careful what you read. I would imagine 15-17 would be what you can expect.

yea I only get 17 on the hwy in my ctd so thats not bad should still be good for getting me around planning on a lift and 35s so I know I cant expect great mileage but atleast better than its big block counter part would get. I figure if the DPF really does suck one day when the warranty expires and stuff it might go bye bye but for now a nice truck with decent power is what I need.
