Default Are body swaps possible?

I have searched in the forums and google for this and I find mostly front end swaps, grills, hoods, etc. I am looking at getting a pre-dpf Duramax, but I like the 07.5-10 bodies/interior. Is it possible to swap bodies without breaking the bank? I know you can swap bodies on the Ford Super Duties and it takes more time to do it than anything. I am sure just deleting the dpf would be cheaper, but I would rather not take the chance of smoking out a cop while trying to pass someone or get up to speed on the freeway. Be my luck the cop knows that it shouldn't smoke like that I would get a nice fat ticket.

Cheers

Even if I go with bigger turbos/compounds and bigger injectors? Those are all in the future of this truck. Granted I will be in good 'ole Michigan where there is no such thing as emissions.

Cheers

I decided to look at engine swaps to see what I would have to deal with electrical/computerwise and the newer computers, 07.5+ use different communications than 07 and back. Soooo not wanting to deal with any weird programming voodoo, web programming was as far into programming I wanted to do. I will just go and delete the hell out of it, dpf, egr, and def if I get one with it. I will be moving to Michigan in the next 2-4 months and there are zero emissions up there so I wont have to hide anything.

just pay the money to have a competent tuner tune the truck with a software like EFI Live. MOST of them can tune larger injectors, twin turbos, etc, to run as smooth as stock. DO YOUR RESEARCH before you select a tuner. ASK people what they think of the tunes that a specific tuner provided for them. ASK the tuner to provide you with customers that he has tuned their vehicles so that you can ask of their experience. Some people will even take you for a test ride in their trucks. IF the tuner says "I think I can" he probably can't.

Was looking at getting a H&S XRT Pro or Mini Maxx (If still around when I get my truck), Edge CTS if those are no longer around since it can be loaded with EFILive. The last tuner I had was on my '05 Cummins and it was an Edge Attitude. Been out of diesels for a long time so all this custom tuning and EFILive is all new to me. I know the XRT can take care of deletes, but with EFI do I have to get it written into the tunes or will they have a delete file I upload to the computer?

Cheers.
