Default 03 Duramax cranks for a few seconds then stops

I thought it was fuel gelling so I changed the fuel filter and it did the same thing so put it the shop and cranked heat on it while plugged in after a few hrs it fired right up so I added diesel 911 and filled the tank, ran it for about a hour and the next day the same thing. so I blasted heat again and fired right up. Hoping someone can give me any info....thanks!!
