2008 duramax 2500
I looking at getting into the diesel world with 2008 2500 duramax LTZ / Z71.
It has 39,000 miles on it and I am just wondering should I spend $35k on this loaded out truck or step to a newer 2011 or so with less features for same price?
I will want decent mpg out of it also. Any help and insight on mpg and slight power increases would be great without braking bank and still keeping it strong and reliable for years!

not too sure about MPGs as it seams to bee all over the place but up to 22 mpg HW is realistic.
the Z71's are getting hard to get so if you like standard transmissions then this may be your last chance in a duramax. right now they are turning into "collector items", as they seems to be hard to find
