Ive owned several powerstroke and 1 cummins, the cummins was hands down the worst truck ive ever owned, id like to stick with powerstroke but i am curious about duramax, im looking at a 2008 chevy 3500 duramax with 211,000km. how long can these things usually last?

Welcome to Diesel Bombers.

With the proper maintenance, that year Dmax can go a long time. It is the first year for some new emissions, but other than fuel mileage, you should be good to go.
