Default Play in slip yoke

I have a 2008 2500hd 2wd and ive noticed a thud in the drive line lately and i got utnder the truck and noticed that i can hold the front piece of the 2 piece drive shaft i place and i can still slightly rotate the rear section of the drive shaft. Is there a way to fix this or do i need to replace the slip yoke?. Thanks in advance

if its the universal joint at the yoke you can replace it at a relatively cheep cost but if the universal joint has never been replaced ie. no retaining clips were the u-joint gets pushed in you will need a torch to melt the injected plastic out on the little holes in the side of the yoke because thats how GM holes their u-joints in place so dont forget that when you are trying to press them out or you might bend some thing
