Default can't prime, fuel leak...

Hello everyone, i am pretty new to diesels and learning as i go, i am pretty mechanically inclined so its not like im clueless, a few weeks ago i started my 07 lbz, started perfectly just like every other time, no hesitation, shut the door to let it warm up and it died 30 seconds later, figured it was the fuel filter so i replaced that and wasnt able to prime fuel into the filter, so i replaced the fuel filter housing today and still wasnt able to prime fuel into the filter, so i decided i should probably pressurize the tank to see if i had any leaks (used my shopvac with a towel over it and also removed the inlet fuel line to the filter housing) well i got gas to **** out of the line upfront and it also started pissing out on top of the fuel tank right by where a metal line goes in more towards the passenger side, im pretty sure its not supposed to do that...and that would explain why i cant get the system to prime, it got late so i wasnt really able to look at it much, anyone have any suggestions? will i have to drop the tank? anyone have this happen to them? Thanks again, really need to get this thing running
