Default 2007 3500HD CC with 370,000 miles..thoughts?

I am considering buying a 2007 pre-january 1st model. It has 370,000 miles. Provided it was taken care of, what do I need to check on it?

I'm sure the motor is fine, but thats a lot of miles for the rest of the truck! How's the transmission?

I don't know. I can handle.wheel bearings, differentials, and things like that. I just can't afford to have to replace an engine. I was told about the piston cracking issue, I just didn't know if there were other reliability issues that have come up.

I think with 370,000 miles you just have to remind yourself, anything can happen at any time.

If the truck is priced right for the condition, its probably worth considering.

It was $8000. I bought a 2002 3500 Crewcab with 108,000 for $9,000.

Yeah. But I'll take that over 350,000 miles anyday. I've got a rainy day injector fund now.

Good to hear, I have nothing against the LB7, I know of one that has over 200k miles on it and it runs like brand new, but its also on its second set of Injectors The LB7 is an awesome motor, I just wanted to make sure that you were aware of what you might encounter

I wouldn't buy a truck with 350k miles on it either

I figure I have a better idea of what will go wrong with this 1 then the 2007. I was really tempted with getting a 2007 for 8000 dollars though.....
