just bought an 06 lly bone stock put in an edge evo tuner egt's would hit 1300 maybe on 4 (100hp) setting and i was in it for a long time, now after driving for abt a week and a half on tune 3 there up there and even with no tune the egt's go to 1300-1400 just tryin to get on e-way and barley getting into it...

just installed k&n filter 2 weeks ago...im wondering if my cat is getting clogged from soot?

Llys are known for having poor air flow to the turbo. Try getting an lbz mouth piece for the turbo or an afe one. That usually solves the air flow which may help lower egts

the mouthpiece on the 2006 LLY is the same as the LBZ, its the same engine, just a different tune, the 04.5-05 LLY's are the ones with the poor induction flow

try cutting out the cat, or a 4" exhaust, my truck with a 415rwhp tune will hit 1400*F if I keep into it hard, but i wouldn't consider that high

If I were you I would ditch that K&N setup, the stock intake is PLENTY of airflow for well over 500hp, the K&N also allows through a lot more dust and contamination than the stock filter setup as well

put in a aftermarket DP and ditch the cat, I have a PPE modded air box and on EFI`s 150hp tune I see about 1275-1300 for about 1 sec spike, @ 26psi. when I had the factory DP it would be a lot higher on the temps. our turbo is rated for 1375 continuous..
