Default HELP PLEASE.. I have a 2005 duramax 2500 6.6 diesel..

After my neighbor changed her fuel filter the truck ran for about 20 minutes then died... The plunger won't prime and fill the fuel filter now.. Can snyony tell me why the plunger isnt priming??? Thanks..

Is the filter on correctly if there is a air leak prime can't build pressure did u change the o rings make sure old o rings r not stuck on house if all is good try removing filter fill with fuel and re install

start with the least obvious, and make sure it has fuel in the tank... that will definitely set a fuel filter warning.

Filter housing could have bit the bullet if the filter o-rings are good. It is something fairly common and there is a filter housing rebuild kit available to fix the problem.
