Personally I'd love to get that combo set up but my dealer refuses to reflash if I put it on. He insists that I will not get any better MPG's from it and it's a waste of $$$.
All I'm interested in is getting more MPG's.
I figure an increase of maybe 80-100HP would mean lower RPM's at the same speeds resulting in the higher MPG's...he says I am totally wrong. I want to accomplish this increase with a programmer and the MP mod.

Am I way off base like my dealer says I am?????

You won't see lower rpms while cruzing. This is determined by the drive trains gear ratio. The only thing that will happen with additional HP without changing anything else is upshifting slightly sooner as it will take less throttle to get up to speed. The transmission is programmed to upshift sooner at lower throttle input for a given speed.

A 40ish HP tune from Efi Live designed for mpgs will likely result in the best improvement

An intake alone will not likely make any discernible difference in mpgs but may lower the temps some

First rule DONT LISTEN TO ANY DEALERSHIPS. They don't know anything about aftermarket parts. They think they do but in all reality they just know basic mechanic skills. They will tell you a intake is the worst thing you can do to your truck. Lol. Go with efilive and you won't regret it. If you'd like some help pm me
