a car will get you better mileage.
i would question how he is figuring out that he is getting 16 MPGs pulling a trailer. from fill up or off of his dash? tank to tank fill ups is the way to go if you really want to see how your MPGs are doing. i have heard a lot of clams of great MPGs but find out that it is just off of the dash read out. go with the above listed recommendations and you will be fine. you are already doing good at 16 MPGs city. any improvement on that and you will probably be in the top ten MPGers list for these heavy trucks Jason |

I get 16 on the highway not pullin anything!!! And a cummins is gonna get better from the get go. My mom and step dad both see 20-25 mpg out of a 98 24v and a 02 24v. Not sure on theirs pullin.
