I am in the same boat as alot of you. replaced at 71000,started smoking at idle a couple months ago. Now the dealer is telling me the injectors need replaceed again at a cost of over $4,000 since I am about a year past the 7 year 200,000 mile warranty. I have done a little reseach and maybe not all the injectors need replaces ,so has asked the dealer to let me know what ones are bad. I am a fair backyard mechanic so can someone tell me how hard a job it is to replace the injectors? Thanks

I hear you pain, i'm lookin at the same project myself. what i've learned myself so far is that it's about 14 to 18 hrs job for a mechanic.it's not supposed to be very technical unless the cup comes out with the injector in which case you've got to be **** about getting everything clean where the cup re-seats.I am going to replace all eight only cause i have a friend who ended up replacing another injector after 20,000,lucky for him his warranty wasn't up so GM did it,maybe it's a waste idk yet. Goodluck to you.

From what I understand, since you're doing all 8 injectors, we should be replacing all of the cups as well. I don't think they cost much. Welcome to DB!
