Chevy/GMC Duramax 01-04 LB7 Discussion of Chevy and GMC Trucks with LB7 Duramax Turbo Diesel Engines

Sprung a coolant leak last night and when i looked for the cause i found this? The black barb broke off inside the hose. so right now the only way i can run the truck without loosing coolant is to delete the heater core. perfect ... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

Sprung a coolant leak last night and when i looked for the cause i found this?










The black barb broke off inside the hose. so right now the only way i can run the truck without loosing coolant is to delete the heater core. perfect timing....


But any one know if the black plastic fitting can be removed? it does twist around but does not move back or forth. -

should be a horse shoe clip around the base of the fitting right? if not just try to cut it off around the heater core pipe that fittings clamped on and get a new fitting. -

just got it off now. Its a quick disconnect fitting. used a skinny 3/4 one cause its tight back there

ok i had a feeling there would be some kind of disconnect, otherwise that would just be stupid haha, no prob. -
