Default Topkick smoking!!!

So i got my 2003 topkick flatbed tow truck always ran great! in the winter i rolled it over in the ditch and all the oil came out and blew the engine. I got a decent used engine and got a buddy to put it in, honeslty it runs perfect but it just has blue smoke at idle and only when i kick it down on the highway otherwise nothing..... The new engine i got from another friend and he swore to me it was running perfect before he pulled it from the truck he got it from.

-Is it possiable some of the injectors could have gummed up if the engine sat on the shelf for awhile?

-Is it possiable when i got it installed they could have done something wrong?

blue smoke is either
Dirty air cleaner
Restricted compressor intake duct
Air leak in feed from compressor to intake manifold
Air leak between intake manifold and engine
Foreign object in exhaust manifold from engine
Restricted turbocharger oil drain line
Restricted engine crankcase breather
Turbocharger bearing housing sludged or coked
Worn engine piston rings or liners
Burnt valves and/or pistons
Excessive dirt build up on compressor wheel and/or diffuser vanes
Turbocharger damaged

when engine is at operating temps the balance rates for the injectors should be +/-4 in park and +/-6 in gear

is the smoke dark blue or more white?normally at idle if it has white smoke you have a a injector or injectors leaking snap on scanner is kinda hard to read balance rates i compared them to the tech 2 and they weren't close be careful!
