I've got a friend with an 01 and it's almost due for it's 75K injector swap. It has 230K and he says he has to change the injectors every 75K and now it's out of the 200K warranty. It's a 3500 very heavy work truck ... JOIN NOW TO REMOVE TRACER

Default Injector Options?

I've got a friend with an 01 and it's almost due for it's 75K injector swap. It has 230K and he says he has to change the injectors every 75K and now it's out of the 200K warranty.
It's a 3500 very heavy work truck & tows heavy almost every day, so what are the options for aftermarket injectors? I told him not to get another set of the OEM injectors and i would find out what would suit him best for his truck. -

Thats because he's putting the stock old design injectors back in. If he would get the new style modified injector the GM put out he would only be changing them about every 250K. -

Industrial Injection. 50hp,90hp,120hp. The latter is advised to run with modded CP3 or and dual CP3's.
I have the 50hp sticks. Balanced and extrude honed. Also you purchase the entire injector, made to order. Not just the nozzle. -

They're gonna go out eventually. All the injectors are made from Bosch, even the aftermarket ones. -

They are all the same design, which still incorporates GM's flaws that make them fail. I was just saying there is no completely different aftermarket injector out there for the LB7. yet..... -

Is there a way to tell which ones have the minor changes?? I've done numerous injector jobs here at my work with a few that have failed multiple times in the same vehicle. I'd be very curious to know which injectors they are. -

I know we have but truthfully I couldn't even tell you the cars I worked on yesterday . I do know that the '03+ body style is definantly the more common one around here. I'm curious though if there is any physical looking difference as my injectors are about gone in my pickup. If so, I can rummage through our parts stock and make sure I get the newer versions at least. I'm not going to risk a kickback on our dealership by warrantying them. -
