Default CP3 question

Hey fellas I'm curious if any of you could tell me the typical life span of an LB7 CP3 is? Thanks

It would all depend on usage, good fuel, how hard its being pushed ... generally I would have to say around 200K average... Of course that being said, some may get 400K and some 100K ... it all just depends ... ( Kind of a loaded Question really ) ...

Ya I figured it would be, I got 156k on mine but it lopes and surges real bad when I'm comin to a stop.... Just tryin to rule out as much as possible ya know

And I've been usin California military base fuel... :/ not the greatest

Sounds like it may be getting weak.... do you have the cat and dpf in place or deleted ?

It's an 03 they hadn't even heard of a dpf back then. It's a Colorado truck so no egr and it's strait piped

Try runnning some ashless 2 stroke oil in your fuel, will help lube your CP3 and such ...

Or double up on some Cetain boost and injector cleaner ... Another issue could be the map sensor .. if you have a oil type air filter this could have contaminated the sensor ... might wanna take a look at that first before doping fuel up ...

Ya I've done the 2 stroke. Didn't think about the map sensor though

Get it cleaned if you can , maybe have it checked @ a shop you trust ... they can watch the perameters on a good scanner in real time , should be able to give you an exact answer...
