to me it kinda sounds like injectors but I'm not sure if bad injectors would cause a miss fire maybe ones stuck closed or an computer/electrical issue. anyway I had a simulator experience with my dads truck long story short it became a no start.

we didnt run the truck for about 6 months i got in it it fired up and by the time my hand was on the shifter it died and hasnt ran since then my dad gave it to me im replacing the injectors now. what happend is the fuel seprated when it didnt run for so long and the injectors rusted inside they were already going out and as soon as it ran long enough for the rust to hit the seat and ball in the injectors it killed all 8. if you can be sure its injectors you can replace them for around $2,000 if you do be sure to get good ones dont go cheep youll regret it fast i would put a better fuel filter on to if i were you this is what ill be running after im done replacing my injectors i bought the 1 micron filter. if that truck has the stock injectors in it they are probably ready to be ret
