Default DuramaxTunner.com replacement ECM thoughts

I've been researching ways to tune my truck after I replace the injectors duramaxtuner.com has a replacement ECM with 5 tunes 1. optimized stock 2.heavy tow over 8,000 3.light tow under 8,000 4.eco street 5.race. for ECM tuned for stock tranny/turbo it's $699 with DSP5 switch. I think this is a good option for me any ideas guys? I was also thinking about an air dog or fass lift pump

for that price i would just purchase EFI Live and do it your self. or for less just purchase the tune from a reputable dealer for your own ECM. the DSP switch can be purchased separately for cheap or built for even less.

$700 is a lot to pay for something you dont need (extra ECM)

can you tell me how home EFI live works and what I would need I was afraid I would mess something up if I tried it myself. and that price was for my ECM to be sent tuned and returned

in the future if I want to build my tranny how much roughly would it cost

i would browse the EFI Live forums and check out the help files to see if this is something you can handle. it is a bit of a learning curve but a fun ride and worth while effort. the amount you learn about your engine from tuning it helps a lot in repairing and keeping it running right later

it cost me about $3200-$3400 a few years ago for a stage 4. this is the 2nd best (efi live being #1) upgrade i have done to my truck. runs so much better the the stock one when under power. it just puts the torque to the ground instead of into slipping clutches
