Default Roll Coal?

Does anyone know a easy way to make my truck roll coal, without destroying my truck?

Yeah you put some money and some wrenching time into your truck after you read tech articles on how to get "POWER".....

If you can't handle that then feel free to

Expect some harsh answers man. "rolling coal" or "smoking" is a touchy subject, it's wasted fuel and gives diesel drivers a bad name. But like stated above learn Joe to make more power, smoke is a by product of horsepower, and it makes you more noticable to police.

wire waste gate open so you get no boost then punch it and it will blow plenty, or build your truck to around 400-500hp and crank the fuel a bit and lower boost. the first will cost you nothing the other option could get kinda pricy

The idea is less smoke. Fuel is for converting to power. Smoke is fuel that did NOT get converted to power. Most of the trucks that do it have a multi-setting tuner set on the maximum race setting, but none of the corresponding improvements to airflow. Stupid.
That setting may say " + 200 HP ", but if you made no other mods, then you get less performance than using a lower setting that makes less smoke.
California has the right idea, they can impound your truck on the spot if they see coal, and they can then look for speed parts. If they find none, you're forced to fix the turbo and prove no more coal. If they find speed mods, they can crush the truck. Better to be responsible than have it forced upon you. I don't want my kids breathing the results of your failure to look cool. Why care if you're impressing anyone, especially anyone who can be impressed by THAT?

diesel smoke is soot so it falls to the ground so your kids are fine. but the rest is all true, blowing smoke or "rolling coal" as cool cumin or dmax people call it is a waste of fuel and power and usually just shows a lack of money or knowledge of what performance products to get and match them with others. Its only cool when that smoke is accompanied by a bunch of power. and 6.5's don't have crazy fuel systems so power is limited and most 6.5 guys get their kicks when they punch it and see a slight puff and some black haze kuz its running properly and means the idiot flooring his cummins shooting smoke everywhere is still back at the line looking "cool".

I drive a 97 1/2 t pickup 6.5 that burns clean, has lots more power than I ever need and gets me 25 MPG, { Canadian Gallon}. I hope it doesn't start burning black
It has 498,000 + Km on it, and with luck it has more than a few more in it . The only time it smokes is on a cold start up.
